Full Pool Opening

$449

The complete spring startup: equipment, standard chemicals, and a first cleaning.

Everything in the Basic Pool Opening, plus:

  • Water testing
  • Standard opening chemicals
  • Initial water balancing
  • Surface skimming
  • Pool brushing
  • Vacuuming when the pool bottom is visible, the water level is sufficient, and pool conditions allow

Vacuuming cannot always be completed during the opening visit if the water is cloudy, the water level is too low, there is excessive debris, or the pool must be vacuumed to waste.

The Full Opening plus a scheduled return visit to finish the job once the water clears.

Everything in the Full Pool Opening, plus:

  • One scheduled follow-up visit

  • Water retesting and chemical adjustment
  • Filter inspection and backwashing when applicable
  • Additional cleanup after the water has circulated and visibility has improved
Add-ons and conditions
  • An attached spa adds $75 to any package.
  • Excessive debris removal, green-to-clean treatment, equipment repairs, additional visits, and unusually high chemical requirements are not included in any package.
  • Additional chemicals beyond the standard opening treatment may be charged separately.
  • No package guarantees that the pool will be immediately clear, clean, balanced, or swim-ready.
  • Service depends on adequate water level, functioning equipment, and accessible pool conditions.

Common questions

How much does a pool opening cost?

There are three packages for any pool, in-ground or above-ground: the Basic Pool Opening is $349 and covers the equipment startup only, the Full Pool Opening is $449 and adds standard opening chemicals, water balancing, and a first cleaning, and the Complete Opening + Follow-Up is $599 and adds a scheduled return visit to finish the cleanup. An attached spa adds $75 to any package. Green or heavily neglected pools may need extra treatment, and we always tell you before performing any additional billable work.

When should I open my pool?

Most pools in Hunterdon County should be opened in late April or early May, once daytime temperatures stay above 70 degrees consistently. Opening earlier helps prevent algae growth under the cover.

How long does a pool opening take?

A typical opening takes 2 to 3 hours. If the pool needs extra cleaning or equipment repairs, it may take a bit longer.

Do you store my winter cover?

We clean and fold your cover and leave it on your property in a convenient location. We do not offer off-site storage at this time.

Can I swim right after the opening?

We recommend waiting 24 to 48 hours after the chemical shock treatment before swimming. This gives the chemicals time to circulate and reach safe levels.
