What happens on the visit
We take the cover off, clear the leaves and debris, and clean the top vinyl.
We clean the underside and seams, rinse and let it dry, and condition the vinyl with a UV protectant.

Why the cover matters more than it looks
The cover is what makes a hot tub affordable to run. It holds the heat in, keeps rain and leaves out, and keeps the chemistry stable between uses. When the vinyl dries out and cracks, water gets into the foam core, the cover gets heavier every month, the seal fails, and the heater runs constantly. A replacement cover costs several hundred dollars; cleaning and conditioning the one you have twice a year is the cheap way to put that off.

A flat $75 for a standard hot tub cover, on its own or added to any spa visit. A cover that needs restoration work to be saved runs up to $150, confirmed with you before we start.
How often should a hot tub cover be cleaned and conditioned?
Twice a year is a good rhythm for a cover that sits outside in New Jersey: once in spring after the pollen and once in fall before winter. Covers in full sun benefit from a third conditioning in midsummer.
Can you fix a waterlogged cover?
No. Once the foam core has absorbed water the cover cannot be dried out or repaired, and it needs replacing. We check for waterlogging during every cleaning and tell you before doing any work on a cover that cannot be saved.
Can I add cover cleaning to my regular Spa Care visit?
Yes. Cover cleaning can be added to any spa visit, including recurring Spa Care, a Spa Refresh, an opening, or a closing.
Do you use anything that will harm the vinyl?
No. We use cleaners made for marine and spa vinyl and finish with a UV protectant that conditions the material rather than coating it.
