Who it is for

Covered residential spas

A covered hot tub collects little sun or debris, so biweekly service plus a quick sanitizer check by you in between keeps it balanced.

Heavily used spas and rentals

Daily soaks, large groups, or short-term rental turnover push bather load up fast. Weekly service keeps the water from drifting.

Owners who want it handled

You get a clean, balanced spa and a record of what was done, without buying test strips, storing chemicals, or guessing at doses.

What happens on the visit

1
Request service

Tell us about your hot tub and whether biweekly or weekly fits how you use it. We confirm the plan, pricing, and your first visit date.

2
We visit on a set schedule

A trained technician tests and balances the water, adjusts sanitizer, cleans the waterline and surfaces, checks the filter, and verifies the equipment is running.

3
You get the record

After every visit you receive service documentation showing what was tested, balanced, and cleaned. Plans bill monthly for the visits completed.

What professional hot tub maintenance covers

A hot tub holds a small volume of hot water with a high bather load, so the chemistry moves faster than a swimming pool. Sanitizer gets used up quickly, pH drifts as aeration from the jets drives off carbon dioxide, and body oils and lotions build up at the waterline and in the filter. Routine maintenance keeps all of that in check before it turns into cloudy water, foam, odor, or scale on the heater.

Each TrueBlue maintenance visit starts with a complete water test. We balance pH and total alkalinity, bring the sanitizer (chlorine or bromine) into range, and add a routine shock or oxidizer when the water needs it. Then we clean the waterline and surfaces, remove debris, check the water level, inspect and rinse the filter, and run a basic check of the pump, jets, and heater. Routine maintenance chemicals are included in the visit price.

Biweekly or weekly: which plan fits

Biweekly Spa Care at $135 per visit is the right cadence for most covered residential hot tubs. With the cover on between uses, the water holds for two weeks as long as you give the sanitizer a quick check between visits, and each visit does a little more correction, which is why the biweekly rate is higher per visit than weekly.

Weekly Spa Care at $100 per visit is built for spas that see heavy use, rental properties with guest turnover, and owners who want fully hands-off care. With a visit every week the water never drifts far, and the per-visit price is lower because each visit is a lighter touch.

Both plans run year-round. A hot tub in New Jersey is at its best on a cold night, and the maintenance schedule in January looks exactly like the one in July.

What is not included

Replacement filter cartridges, proprietary sanitizing or mineral cartridge systems, specialty treatments, and parts and repairs are billed in addition to the visit. Published pricing applies to standard residential hot tubs up to 500 gallons; swim spas are quoted separately. A spa that has been neglected for a while may need a Spa Refresh (a full drain and refill) before routine maintenance can hold the water.

Hot Tub Maintenance questions

How often should a hot tub be professionally maintained?

Most covered residential hot tubs do well on biweekly professional service, with a quick sanitizer check by the owner in between. Frequently used spas and rental properties benefit from weekly visits.

Are hot tub chemicals included in the maintenance price?

Yes. Routine maintenance chemicals, including sanitizer, pH and alkalinity adjusters, and routine shock or oxidizer, are included with recurring Spa Care. Specialty treatments and proprietary cartridge systems are additional.

Do I need to be home for the visit?

No. As long as the technician can reach the spa, the water supply, and power, the visit can be completed while you are out, and you receive the service documentation afterward.

Do you maintain hot tubs in the winter?

Yes. Spa Care runs year-round, including fall and winter visits. If you would rather shut the spa down for the season, we also offer hot tub closing and winterization.

How is recurring Spa Care billed?

Plans are priced per visit and billed monthly for the visits completed, so a five-week month and a four-week month are billed for the visits that actually happened.

What if my hot tub has not been serviced in a long time?

If the water is past the point where balancing can save it, we will recommend a Spa Refresh first: a full drain, deep cleaning, filter cleaning, refill, and fresh-water startup. Routine maintenance then takes over from clean water.

Do you service both chlorine and bromine hot tubs?

Yes. We maintain both and keep whichever sanitizer your spa uses properly adjusted on every visit.
